Welcome to Fox Creek Junior High School, home of the Falcons. Last year, our unofficial motto for our school was, “It’s a new day at Fox Creek!” Significant challenges faced our school, not the least of which was a “C” rating by the Arizona Department of Education. Due to the hard work, dedication, and focus of faculty, staff, students, and all community stakeholders, Fox Creek improved its academic performance and was awarded the letter grade of “B” at the end of last school year. Congratulations to everyone who worked so diligently to improve the services we offer to the community. The rating of “B” means that we are at the beginning. We made a giant step in improving our school, but the real work is just beginning.
Our vision for Fox Creek is the creation of a professional learning community that is based upon mutual respect. In order to create this environment, it is the expectation that every community stakeholder will follow clearly established rules and policies that promote safety and the general welfare of all academic community members. We believe that educators have the obligation, right, and freedom to concentrate on providing every child with the best education possible. We also believe that students have a right to attend school in an environment that is engaging and free from the distractions that interfere with learning. We will continually seek to develop and maintain an academic atmosphere that is free from harassment, intimidation, and bullying.
Both Mrs. Covert, our school’s assistant principal, and I maintain open door policies. We look forward to meeting with you and discussing ways to improve services on our campus. The new day at Fox Creek has dawned and our unofficial motto this year is, “It is just the Beginning at Fox Creek!”
Upward and Onward,
Jon E. Jones, Principal
